Decca brings the talent of Chef Annie Pettry to East Market Street. A commitment to locally farmed and small production ingredients is evident in the kitchen, and throughout the bar and wine program. Decca makes its home in a historically renovated 1870’s building, and features two intimate dining rooms, an outdoor courtyard, and a beautiful brick and limestone cellar for libations and revelry. Chef/Partner Annie Pettry

As Executive Chef of Decca, Annie Pettry brings to the table a passionate and uncompromising commitment to quality, a respect for technique, and an artistic sensibility that results in a balanced yet exhilarating eating experience. With a nuanced palate and an ingredient driven mindset, she creates her own unique take on American cuisine. Raised in Asheville, North Carolina, which proudly claims itself as a “foodtopian Society,” Annie’s childhood was steeped with influential food experiences including growing vegetables, foraging for mushrooms, trout fishing and countless hours in the kitchen learning from her parents’ global cooking style.

Sous Chef de Cuisine Cody Stone

Since day one, Cody Stone has fostered an infectious drive for passion and excellence that has been an integral part of shaping the Decca kitchen. Cody, a Louisville native and a culinary school misfit, has worked in many of Louisville’s finest restaurants such as 21C’s Proof on Main and the late 732 Social. Among these he cites that it wasn’t until he became Sous Chef of Proof on Main under renowned Chef Michael Paley that he was transformed from a “turn and burn cook” into a cook with a deep respect for details and technique. At Decca he cultivates this respect while he works closely with Chef Annie, collaborating on menus, sourcing the best products, and maintaining kitchen operations.

Dining Room Manager Ruben Diaz

When Ruben Diaz moved to Louisville to join Decca as dining room manager and private events coordinator he packed his bags and put them on a mule, literally. He was leaving his 16-year post working for the Grand Canyon National Park Lodges. As a hospitality industry veteran, Ruben has extensive experience in fine dining rooms across the nation. Highlights include working as floor manager for the El Tovar Hotel in Arizona and the Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans. As dining room manager of Decca, Ruben’s focus is on providing a welcoming and memorable dining experience.

 Amy Sheffield

Amy Sheffield is a Louisville, Kentucky native who graduated from the University of Louisville with a BA in Socio-Cultural Anthropology. While pursuing her degree, Amy worked as a bartender in several local restaurants and considers the culture of restaurants a great opportunity to work with people while using her degree. Amy joined the Decca team because she has a true passion for artisanal spirits and restaurant culture.

Events Coordinator Lindsey Ofcacek

For the last ten years Lindsey Ofcacek has been involved in the local food economy. Whether cooking, farming, distributing, or managing at Decca she has always been passionate about every aspect of the business. She has a healthy obsession with punches, dinner parties, and Martha Stewart. After the birth of her son Theodore, she found her home as Decca’s event manager.

Partner Chad Sheffield

Chad Sheffield, a Louisville native, has spent the past two decades working in the restaurant industry, including San Francisco’s Coco500. His creative adventures have included music booking, starting his own theater company, and acting.

kelsey

Partner Kelsey Norris

Chad and Kelsey moved back to Louisville from San Francisco in 2010 to open a restaurant that combined their love of food, wine, visual art, live music, and record collecting. Kelsey Norris, originally from Jasper, Indiana, received a BA in English Literature from the University of Louisville and studied Photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She currently studies Medicine at the University of Louisville and is pursuing a residency in Psychiatry.
